CENTRAL JERSEY FUTSAL FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIP FUND
The purpose of the Central Jersey Futsal Financial Aid and Scholarship Fund is to provide every qualified youth soccer/futsal player or team who possesses the talent, desire and commitment to participate and experience the organized futsal leagues and tournaments hosted by Central Jersey Futsal or other approved cosponsored or self standing events, but who may not be able to afford the financial obligations. Other times certain families or teams may experience temporary financial hardships and may need a financial aid to keep up with their financial commitments required to participate in leagues, tournaments or other planned events.
Central Jersey Futsal Player Scholarship Fund may grant registration fee scholarships to children who without this financial assistance would not be able to participate in our programs. The scholarship program focuses on providing opportunities for the area’s youth players to participate because of the physical, mental, and character- building benefits these programs can provide. Scholarships are only available to cover the cost of registration and are not available to cover any additional costs (uniforms, equipment, tournaments, etc) unless registration fee includes uniforms and/or equipment.
CENTRAL JERSEY FUTSAL FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIP FUND DETAIL
How Financial Aid Is Awarded
Financial aid will be reviewed and granted by the Financial Committee primarily on a need basis.
The financial aid process takes into consideration the financial needs along with other factors that may affect an individual player's or team’s ability to be able to participate in any Central Jersey Futsal event, sponsored, cosponsored or approved. Because the financial resources of the Central Jersey Futsal are limited, the availability and amount of scholarships and funds are also limited to actual financial hardship situations. The financial Aid may not always be available, and it may vary season to season due to available funds.
All financial aid applications must be approved by the Financial Aid Committee. The individual player family or team will receive written notice of the decision whether their application has been approved or not. All information described in the Financial Aid application will be kept confidential.
Financial Aid Requirements
In order for financial aid to be awarded, the parents or guardians of the prospective player must complete the Financial Aid Application. In the event of a team application the coach must submit a team application. If the required paperwork is not provided by the date requested, or if the Financial Aid Committee determines that there is insufficient basis for aid based on need, the application will be denied.
All financial aid applicants are expected to pay the reduced Player Fees, if granted, on the same payment schedule as other players or teams, unless approved otherwise by the Director of Finance and/or scholarship committee.
Aid recipients will be expected to conform fully to the policies of Central Jersey Futsal regarding behavior and conduct as well as attendance. In the event that a scholarship player and/or parent fails to meet these expectations the scholarship may be withdrawn immediately in whole or in part.
All Financial Aid applications are valid for one soccer year (September 1st through August 31st of the following year) and applications must be submitted each year if the applicant wishes to be considered. All Financial Aid applications and required paperwork are due by August 1 of each year.
Athlete must reside within NJ.
• Commitment to attend a minimum of 80% of scheduled practices and games.
• Participation by an adult family member in at least 2 hours of voluntary service to Central Jersey Futsal during the sport season.
Volunteer work will be under the direction of the Central Jersey Futsal volunteer coordinator or above. Application must be completed by a parent, guardian, or head of household, with all requested information provided. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
• Families are required to participate in any fundraisers offered by the program.
Financial Aid Procedures
Any financial aid awarded by Central Jersey Futsal will be specifically detailed in a case by case scenario for teams or individual players. The financial aid is available on a first come basis and while funds are available.
